Why We Exist

Business should feel connected, Not complicated.

We started Sharpnr because keeping your systems in step should not have to be somebody’s job.

The world we see

A business works together,
its software rarely does.

The books depend on what the team did today. What the team did depends on who turned up. Nothing in a business happens on its own.

Software, though, is sold by department. One tool for the books, another for the team, another for customers. Each solved its own problem and none solved the one between them.

So things get copied across. The same job gets done twice. People spend their week retyping instead of doing the work they bought the software for.

The answer was never more software. It was software that already knew what the rest of it was doing.

Business is already connected.
Software should be too.

Nobody starts a business to maintain software. They start one to look after customers, pay a team well and make decisions they can stand behind.

Software should sit quietly underneath all of that, not become another thing to manage. That is what we are building.

How we build

Every decision here,
starts with one of these.

Sharpnr isn't built around trends. It's built around a short list that hasn't changed.

  1. 01

    The business comes first

Software serves the business, not the other way round. It starts with how a real one runs its day.

  2. 02

    Connected without asking

Nothing should sit on its own. If joining two things up takes effort, we have not finished the job.

  3. 03

    Simple, still capable

Powerful should not feel complicated. Good software takes work away rather than handing you more.

  4. 04

    Build once, hold everywhere

The same foundation should suit a single café and a group of hotels, without either of them rebuilding how they work.

  5. 05

    Help people decide

Software should make a decision easier, not make it for you. The judgement stays with the person.

  6. 06

    Trust is not a feature

Security and permissions are not bolted on afterwards. They sit behind every action, quietly.

  7. 07

    Grow with the business

Teams grow, branches open, trades change. Nobody should outgrow the platform they came to depend on.

These aren't aspirations. They're what we argue about when we disagree.

The future we're building

Businesses change,
you don't start over.

A café that turns into three cafés should not have to move to different software to do it.

We're building for a future where

  • Nobody types the same thing into two systems
  • A useful answer is there when the question comes up
  • Adopting software doesn't need a project team
  • What the business knows stays in one place, at any size
  • Software sits underneath the work instead of interrupting it

A business hands over its people, its customers and its money when it picks software. That is not a trust you earn once.

The destination isn't more software. It's better businesses.
